Who We Serve

Family Pathways serves parents and families navigating some of the most overwhelming seasons of life—when a teen or young adult is struggling and the household feels stuck in crisis, conflict, or uncertainty. Our services are designed for families who need clarity, structure, and guidance, whether they are early in the process or transitioning out of higher levels of care.

We work alongside parents who want to take an active role in creating change at home while receiving expert support every step of the way.

Families of Teens (Ages 12–18)

We support families with adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges that are disrupting daily life, school, and relationships.

Common concerns include:

  • Explosive behavior, anger, or emotional outbursts

  • Anxiety, depression, or mood instability

  • School refusal, academic decline, or truancy

  • Defiance, oppositional behavior, or power struggles

  • Substance use or experimentation

  • Social withdrawal or isolation

  • Self-harm behaviors or safety concerns

  • Struggles with boundaries, rules, and accountability

Parents often tell us they feel like they are walking on eggshells, unsure how to respond without making things worse. Family Pathways helps parents regain leadership, restore structure, and respond with calm, consistency, and confidence.

Families Navigating Mental Health Challenges

We work with parents of young adults who are stuck, struggling, or cycling through instability—often after multiple attempts at treatment, therapy, or independence.

Common challenges include:

  • Failure to launch or difficulty with independence

  • Ongoing substance use or relapse concerns

  • Mental health struggles impacting work, school, or relationships

  • Repeated crises, hospitalizations, or treatment episodes

  • Living at home without structure or accountability

  • Resistance to help or refusal of treatment

  • Strained or broken family relationships

Our approach helps parents shift out of crisis management and into clear expectations, healthy boundaries, and forward momentum, while still preserving connection and dignity.

Families Transitioning Into or Out of Treatment

Family Pathways often works with families at critical transition points, including:

  • Before residential, PHP, or IOP treatment

  • During treatment to prepare for return home

  • After discharge to prevent relapse or regression

  • When previous treatment attempts haven’t “stuck”

We focus on what happens at home, ensuring parents have the tools, structure, and support needed to sustain progress long after treatment ends.

Families of Young Adults (Ages 18–30)

Families Impacted by Substance Use & Co-Occurring Disorders

Family Pathways supports families affected by a wide range of mental health concerns, including:

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Depression

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • ADHD and executive functioning challenges

  • Mood disorders

  • Co-occurring mental health and substance use issues

We help parents understand what their child is experiencing, how to respond effectively at home, and how to coordinate appropriate support without becoming overwhelmed or reactive.

Parents Who Want a Clear Plan — Not Guesswork

Our services are ideal for parents who:

  • Feel overwhelmed and unsure what to do next

  • Want structure, accountability, and clarity

  • Are tired of reacting to crises

  • Want to rebuild trust and connection in the family

  • Need help coordinating care, communication, and decisions

  • Want to lead change without constant conflict

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need the right pathway.

What Our Clients Say

Mother in Pathways ONE

“It is amazing to be able to rely on you to help with putting all these things together and to feel the support of a team, because it really takes such a weight off of a parent’s shoulders. I feel with your coaching and services now, I do have help in the moment of crisis. It brings me a sense of security and calm.

I don’t think the coldness of some therapists or doctors, plus the lack of ability to get in touch with them, has served us well. It is so disheartening not to be able to speak with someone right away or to make an appointment in a fair amount of time. That itself has actually created much more serious situations with my daughter. So I am letting you know that this path you are taking is working."
